From your Ipad

If you do not have a Chronicle username/password already

  1. Go to The Chronicle site
  2. In the upper right-hand corner, click on Log In.
  3. On the My Account page, click on Create a Free Account.
  4. Submit the appropriate information being requested-you must use your Marian email address.  You will also be required to create a password.  
  5. Once you have created your free account, download The Chronicle of Higher Education app from the App Store onto your iPad.
  6. You will be required to login using your free account credentials (Marian email and password).
  7. The Chronicle will appear in your Newsstand on the iPad.  You will be able to download editions to your iPad, and when finished, archive them so they are removed from your iPad. (If you archive an edition, you can also easily re-download at a later date, if you wish.  Archiving read editions will free up space).

If you already have a Chronicle username/password that you remember linked with/Marian email address:

  1. Open the iPad App Store.
  2. Find The Chronicle app and select the download option. You will be asked for you iTunes/Apple ID username and password,enter it in and then your app will download and install.
  3. Once installed, tap to open The Chronicle app.
  4. When the app opens up, tap “Sign In” on the top left.
  5. 5. Enter and confirm your university e-mail address, then follow the steps on the account setup pages.

From your smartphone or tablet

1. Go to on your device’s Web.
2. Scroll down to click the “Log In”.
3. Enter and confirm your university e-mail address, then follow
the steps on the account setup pages.
Follow the “ on your computer” steps.

From your computer

1.    Simply go to for complete access.
1.    Go to and click on the “Log In” link at top,
right hand side of the Web page.
2.    Choose the “Create a Free Account” option.
3.    Enter and confirm your university e-mail address, then follow
        the steps on the account setup pages.
