Custom Events for Every Occasion and Topic
In addition to our signature events, the Center for Teaching and Learning hosts a variety of special programs throughout the year, tailored to the evolving needs of our campus community. These events go beyond traditional teaching and learning topics, addressing broader issues that impact faculty, staff, and students.
Past Events
- Adjunct Faculty Appreciation Lunch - This event was specifically held to acknowledge and honor adjunct faculty at out university. This groups of faculty are extremely important to the success of our students. The CTL collaborated with the online programs department for this event.
- Poverty 101 - This event explored the barriers faced by individuals experiencing poverty and how we can better support our students. This was conducted in partnership with Mission and Ministry and Student Affairs.
- Self-Care and Well-Being, This event was an initiative designed to help faculty and staff navigate healthy boundaries and burnout. This was a collaborative event planned with Counseling & Consultation Services, the College of Osteopathic Medicine, and faculty from across campus.
- AI Hands-On Workshops, which included a series of hands-on workshops in which faculty and staff were exploring different uses of AI in teaching and learning. This was an event planned in collaboration with the Educational Technology team, faculty from across campus, and the Provost's Office.
We create programming that is timely, relevant, and responsive. These events are often developed in collaboration with other campus groups and shaped by faculty and staff feedback, ensuring they provide meaningful engagement and support for our community.
