Her poster presentation titled: "Utilizing Cogenerative Dialogue as a Critical Pedagogical Tool to Promote Equity." How do ensure equity for pre-service teachers with marginalized identities in a community engaged teacher preparation course using cogenerative dialogue?
Co-presenters, Guang Xu, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Public Health, and Drew Stuart, Assistant Professor of Communication
Their poster presentation titled: "Using Debate in a Public Health Course to Promote Active Learning and Critical Thinking." Public health is a complicated and practical discipline in health profession that not only involves medicine and biomedical science but also community, social science and politics. Prof. Drew Stewart and Dr. Xu worked together to teach, organize, and facilitate public health group debates among our medical students and other health professional students in class.

His poster presentation titled: "Using Community Engagement to Explore the Field of Counseling." Undergraduate and graduate students from Psychological Sciences and the Master's of Counseling program discuss counseling and school interventions provided at The Crossing, a downtown Indianapolis alternative school with high risk student populations.
Lorie Hacker, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Nursing
Her poster presentation titled: "Death Cafe Campfire Experience." Nursing students, enrolled in the NSG427 Bereavement and Loss elective, were joined by others in the Marian University community to participate in
a "Death Cafe' Fire Pit Experience."
