Login credentials are issued 2 weeks prior to a start date. You should receive a tech sheet from your chair or dean with your Marian credentials and other technology information. Reach out to your chair or dean if you have not yet received your tech sheet.
Meet with your chair or dean for curriculum planning.
Download the CampusShield app so you will receive important campus alerts, such as school closings or delays.

Obtain your ID and Parking decal from campus police (in the Norman Center by Subway). See section below for more information.

Establishing your syllabus, office hours, grading expectations, and final exam expectations.
Learning how to review rosters, enter grades, access the SPARK system, and learn the room locations of where you will be teaching.
Working with student athletes’ schedules.
Managing accommodation requests from students through the Personalized Learning Center.

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that sets forth requirements regarding the privacy of student records. It prevents school officials from disclosing personally identifiable information from a student's education record without written consent. Title IX is part of the Education Amendments of 1972 and is enforced by the U.S. Department of Education. This federal law prohibits favoritism in education programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance. Please complete: Title IX & Mandatory Reporting Module (This link will enroll you in a Canvas course to read more and complete the Title IX training - login is required).
Harassment training is conducted through the Human Resources UKG Pro Learning system, and you will receive an email invitation to complete it. All required training is automatically assigned to every individual enrolled in the payroll system (UKG).
Should you need help accessing the UKG system, please get in touch with Human Resources by emailing HR@marian.edu.
You will obtain your MU ID and parking pass from the Marian University police office. They are located in the Norman Center. If you go in through the doors near Marian Hall, you will see Subway on your right. The police offices are located up a couple of steps on the left.
Please take your driver's license to the police department to get your Marian University badge. For safety reasons, the Marian Police Department asks that badges be worn at all times so they are visible when on campus - via a lanyard or other method. This is also your access badge to many buildings on campus.
Fill out the Permit Form and take it to the police office located by Subway which is connected to the Paul J. Norman Center building. Here is more Parking Information. You don't need a parking permit during the breaks when students are not on campus, as no ticketing occurs during these times.
