Marian University’s Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) is committed to promoting and supporting students’ holistic well-being and educational success through direct clinical services; psychoeducational, outreach and prevention programs, and training for graduate students in the mental health professions. CCS mission is to provide high-quality services for students from all backgrounds. From individual counseling to online resources, the Counseling Center is here for MUAC students at no charge.
CCS provides a range of therapeutic interventions in working with students. These interventions are delivered in a brief therapy model that focuses on helping students make the desired change or reach a specific goal. When a student’s needs require a different type of care than we can provide, we will partner with the student to transition their care to resources in the community. We are committed to making the best match between the needs of students and appropriate services. Some common examples of when a transition of care might be required include:
