MUAC Onboarding - Student Affairs

MUAC Student Conduct Overview

The student conduct procedure is committed to an educational and developmental process that balances the interests of the student with the interests of the university community. The process exists to protect the interests of the community and to challenge those whose behaviors are not consistent with the policies. Sanctions are intended to challenge students' moral and ethical decision-making and to help them bring their behavior into accord with the community's expectations. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions, reconcile with the community and move forward in their personal and academic pursuits. Standardized sanctions have been developed, specific procedures and communication are used to ensure consistency and fairness. The foundation of the student conduct process is reconciliation...to restore the community and student to wholeness. For that to occur, the privacy of the student is protected. Information on reports, findings, sanctions are held in confidence.
