SIFT: Moves for Web Evaluation

SIFT is a helpful acronym for initially evaluating source credibility. SIFT (from Mike Caulfield) stands for:

  • STOP
  • INVESTIGATE the source
  • FIND trusted coverage.
  • TRACE claims, quotes, and media back to the original context.
