CTL Partners

The CTL partners closely with several groups across campus. This guide describes these connections.

CTL Partners

We Intentionally Connect

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is deeply committed to collaboration, working closely with multiple campus partners to ensure our initiatives are communicative, aligned, and informed by diverse perspectives. By fostering these relationships, we enhance faculty support, promote innovation in teaching and learning, and contribute to the broader university mission.

Our Partners in Teaching Excellence

  • Teaching and Learning Committee – We maintain strong faculty representation through our partnership with this committee, ensuring our professional development offerings align with faculty needs and priorities.

  • Educational Technology – With significant overlap in teaching, learning, and faculty support, we work closely with Educational Technology to provide faculty with the tools and strategies they need to effectively integrate technology into their teaching.
  • Educational Assessment – Assessment plays a key role in effective teaching, and we partner with the assessment team to support faculty in meaningful course and program evaluation, including Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiatives.
  • Provost’s Office – By working in tandem with the Provost’s Office, we align our efforts with the university’s larger academic goals, ensuring that faculty support and development fit within the institution’s broader vision.
  • Hackelmeier Memorial Library - We collaborate closely with the library to ensure we are aligned with various support for faculty and students. This creates a more comprehensive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • Mission and Ministry & University Events – Our collaboration with these groups allows us to co-create impactful university-wide events, such as Community Day, to foster connection and inspiration as the academic year begins.
  • Other Partnerships – Partnering with multiple schools and departments across campus, including HR, we help design and facilitate New Faculty Orientation, ensuring that incoming faculty feel supported from day one.

Active Collaboration

In addition to these key partnerships, we actively seek opportunities to work with other departments, committees, and initiatives across campus. Whether through large-scale events or targeted faculty development, our goal is to ensure that teaching and learning remain a collaborative, well-supported effort across the university.
