Research & Study Environment
Please, be considerate of others; "quiet" means that your conversation or headset does not bother others. If you need to work with others, please work on the 1st floor or use our group study rooms.
Cell phones – Please set your cell phones, so they do NOT ring in the Library. You may freely listen to messages and use text messaging; but any verbal communications must be kept short and conducted at a quiet level as with all normal Quiet Study area conversations. Otherwise take your calls outside. Misuse of these devices disturbs those engaged in reading, studying, and other educational activities.
Noise and Other Disruptive Behavior -- Users expect the Library to be a quiet place for study and research. All library users are requested to be considerate and to refrain from talking loudly, making too much noise, using audio equipment at a volume that interferes with others, or engaging in disruptive behavior.
Food & Drink
Eating is permitted in the Library. Please helps us maintain a pleasant and pest free environment to study and work by clearing up all food and beverage packages prior to leaving the facility. Drinks ARE permitted, but only from bottles with lids or caps. Users are expected to leave their study areas neat and clean. Please, do not eat or drink at computer tables so we may protect this valuable equipment.
