Library Resources at Marian University

What Do I Read Next?

Beginning Fall 2016, Hackelmeier Memorial Library will be providing a new service to students, faculty, and staff of Marian University. What Do I Read Next? is designed to provide readers assistance in finding popular or academic titles relevant to their interests, who may have neither the time nor the resources to compile a more comprehensive to-be-read (TBR) list. Much like the recommendation services, we'd like to help with more personalized service in finding what you think you might like to read.

The process is simple. Fill out our recommendation form, identifying your preferences (author, genre, etc.), what generally appeals or doesn't to you the most, your recent reads, or simply what you're in the mood for, and we'll come up with a handful of suggestions and the best way to get them from our library.

Suggestions for Purchase

Marian University students, faculty and staff are encouraged to take an active, participatory role in the development of their library collection. To that end, library staff have provided users the ability to submit recommendations for items considered for purchase.

We've created a form for users to submit their suggestions. Please provide as much detail about the author or work as possible. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will place an order for the item, but we do take all requests into consideration. Requests purchased will be based on curricular and departmental subject relevancy pertaining to the disciplines taught at Marian University.
