How to Connect Marian Library Database Holdings to Google Scholar

This will let you search Google Scholar for research, and then access full-text articles from your search results that the library has access to.

This process functions best if you have a Google account. You can go through the process as a guest, but you will have to repeat these steps every time you search Google Scholar. If you have a Google account, you'll only need to go through this process once.

  1. Log into your Google account and go to scholar.google.com.
  2. Click the menu tab on the top left, marked by 3 stacked lines.
  3. Click Settings at the bottom of the list.
  4. Click Library links (under Settings).
  5. In the search bar, type Marian (just Marian, nothing else), and search. This will make a new option pop up: Marian University - Find it @ Marian Univ.
  6. Click the check box by Marian University - Find it @ Marian Univ.
  7. Be sure to click Save at the bottom.

Now, when you search Google Scholar, if Marian University's library has access to an article via a subscription, you'll see a Find it @ Marian Univ. link, which takes you to a landing page from which you can access full-text articles. You can also request items directly via Interlibrary Loan if we don't have access to that particular journal volume or issue.
