CASE provides the following services for students:
A new way to approach student services, The Academic Commons located in the Gerald J. Ball Library is the students’ one stop shop for all academic support needs including: access to research materials, and finding peer and professional tutors. Work one-on-one with a success coach or attend one of our Success Seminars for tips on how to improve your academic experience. Also available in The Academic Commons are computers and printers. Check out laptops for your study needs off campus.
The Coordinator of CASE manages Marian University's Ancilla College peer tutoring program, including assessing needs, recruiting, hiring, training and supervising peer tutors. Tutoring is a free resource and service with the goal of helping students develop confidence and the skills necessary to be successful at the university level.
Peer Tutors are located in the Academic Commons. Tutoring is provided on an individual basis or in small groups. Walk-in tutoring hours also available. Tutoring is available for most entry level courses, and many upper-level courses.
The Assistant Director also oversees all New Student Orientations: welcoming Chargers, one and all!
