Improved Interlibrary Loan - Fall 2016

by Edward Mandity on 2016-08-17T15:49:17-04:00 | 0 Comments

Over the summer Hackelmeier Memorial Library staff has improved its interlibrary loan process by acquiring a service called ILLiad (an acronym for InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database). Marian University library users will now be able to easily create and track their own requests using this service.

ILLiad works by signing in to the request interface with your Marian University credentials. Upon signing in, first-time users will need to register their account (an easy and short process) according to their status and department. After registration, users can submit new requests from the left-hand navigation menu according to the format type, as well as view all requests and notifications, items checked out, as well as request loaned items to be renewed. Detailed instructions can be found from our new Ask Us site:

ILLiad configuration and setup.

We hope that users will enjoy this new functionality and that it will lead to increased usage for research on campus. Any questions regarding ILLiad can be forwarded to librarystaff@marian.edu.
