EndNote Basic is a web based version of EndNote. It is considered basic because it does not have all of the features in the desktop version. However, it does have all of the features necessary to be a useful tool for the new-to-research and writing student.
EndNote Basic is free to use and can be used on its own or in conjunction with EndNote X9, the desktop version. The data you enter in EndNote Basic can be synched with EndNote X9 (and vise versa). EndNote Basic can be very useful if you are conducting research on a computer that is not yours.
