As of December 2024, Watermark has added a new feature to assist with import of scholarly publication content within one's Activities section of Faculty Success. The Publication Proactive Search feature is a way to automate retrieval of scholarship activities through the process of validation.
Upon login to Faculty Success, faculty will see a pane on the left side of the screen displaying potential matches to their scholarly output. The user then has the option to validate the item by matching the information to their activity profile through reviewing, editing, or rejecting the publication.
Users will be notified whether duplicates exist as well, and have the option to reject or continue editing entries.
This feature is entirely optional and may be collapsed from view by clicking the double arrow in the navigational pane.
