CTL Large Events

The Center for Teaching and Learning organizes and hosts several large-scale events at the university. This guide describes those events.

Community Day

Community Day

The Center for Teaching and Learning is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and creating positive experiences across campus. Community Day, held annually the week before the academic year begins, is a collaborative effort between Mission and Ministry, University Events, the Provost’s Office, and the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Designed to inform, inspire, and engage, this event brings faculty and staff together to build community, share knowledge, and set the tone for a successful year ahead. Through a blend of educational sessions, interactive activities, and opportunities for connection, Community Day fosters a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose while celebrating the vibrant campus culture.
