Volunteer Opportunities

Sharing a campus with the PHJC offers members of the MUAC community plenty of opportunities to volunteer.

The Maria Center

The Maria Center is always open to having volunteers work with their residents. Opportunities include:

  •  Helping to decorate the Maria Center Lounge for Christmas
  • Joining us for caroling (residents & students) around the Motherhouse
  • Helping with a Halloween party for the daycare kids
  • Helping with the High Tea event
  • Helping with resident Birthday Parties
  • Helping with the Ministry Appreciation activity
  • Helping with Turtle Toppers
  • Playing Bingo with the residents
  • Giving Trio Bike rides with the residents
  • Helping with the Fall Harvest Party
  • Helping residents with techy stuff on their phones and i-Pads
  • Joining residents for Table Games
  • Helping with the Christmas party…decorate…set up…serve…clean up
  • Helping residents prep for their annual Top to Bottom apartment cleanings.

Food Ministry

Sr. Connie organizes the preparation and delivery of meals to those in need in Plymouth. Tuesday and Thursday mornings volunteers gather in the kitchen behind Cana Hall to assemble the meals. In the afternoons, volunteers deliver the meals to various locations in Plymouth.

MoonTree Studios

MoonTree Studios offers unpaid internships and volunteer opportunities that include Clay Studio Assistant, Gallery Docent, Shop Assistant, Paint Studio Assistant, and Ecology Assistant. They also offer personalized internships based on students' interests.
