This is the easiest way to get a Yuja video into a Canvas course, but it is only recommended for a few videos at a time. For example, having more than five videos on a page can be distracting and/or confusing for users looking for a particular video. If you have more than five videos, you might want to try linking the video instead (see instructions below).
To embed on a page:
- Go to the page you want to embed the video on.
- Click Edit in the rich text field (the main box), put your cursor where you want the video to appear on the page).
- Click the Yuja symbol in the tool line:
- Select your video using the Yuja Media Chooser. You can select multiple videos to import at the same time. If you do not see your video in the list, you can search for it in the top Search box:
or you can use the arrow at the bottom to load more of your videos.
- Select Insert Content when you are finished selecting your videos.
- Click Save on the page when you are done editing your page.
To embed in a module:
- Click the + button in the module that you want to add your Yuja video into.
- Under the Add dropdown menu at the top, select External Tool.
- Choose Yuja Media from the list (it will be at the bottom).
- Select your video using the Yuja Media Chooser. You can only select one video to import at a time. If you do not see your video in the list, you can search for it in the top Search box:
or you can use the arrow at the bottom to load more of your videos.
- On this screen, you can change the name that the link goes under by changing the Page Name text. When you are ready to add it, select Add Item:
